Onyx

Found in India and South America.  Onyx is also called Sardonyx when it has ribbon bands in it.  The colors range from light and dark bands, which can have colors in brown, red, black, white, and grey.

Known as the separate stone.  It assists in releasing the person from negative emotions, including sorrow and grief.  A great stone to use to assist in reducing stress and balancing emotions. Assisting the individual to separate through ending unpleasant or unhappy relationships. Also, to let go of past relationships that the individual still has not gotten over yet.

It absorbs and transmutes negative energy.  Also, an excellent stone for protection and grounding.   Associated with the base chakra.  It encourages the connection from the goals that we have here on earth.  

Black Onyx assists one in relieving fears and worries.  Making the user feel more comfortable about themselves and their environment.
