Eclipses
February has the first set of eclipses. Solar eclipse is on February 6th and Lunar eclipse will be on February 20th. The other
two will be in August.
This year the eclipses will be in Aquarius and Leo. The sign of Aquarius rules friendships, groups, humanitarian efforts and all get
together. If you are an Aquarius, Leo, Libra or Aries then you will enjoy this solar eclipse because it will fall in one of your
personal houses. All Sun signs will enjoy this solar eclipse because it brings new opportunities for you.
Just like retrogrades with there bad stigma, so has eclipses. Not all will bring bad changes but good ones as well. Usually bad
comes when we are living in the negative or ignoring the inevitable. Solar eclipses are for the most associated with new
beginnings. Lunar eclipses are associated with endings. The affects of the eclipse are felt for six months till the next series of
eclipse. To find out how the eclipses will affect you personally you will need to have your natal / birth chart done.
To see how the eclipses will affect you, look at your natal chart. The solar eclipse on February 6 will be at 18 degrees Aquarius.
Any planets between 16 and 20 degrees in Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo, or Taurus, will find this eclipse rather stressful, but any planets
between 16 and 20 degrees in Libra and Gemini will be more positively influenced. The lunar eclipse on February 20 will be at 1
degree Virgo. Any planets at 29 degrees in Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, and Taurus, or any planets between 0 and 3 degrees in Virgo,
Sagittarius, Pisces and Gemini are going to be stressed by the lunar eclipse. But, any planets at 29 degrees Sagittarius or Aries, or
any planets between 0 and 3 degrees in Capricorn and Taurus will have a positive outcome. Also check your houses to see where
the eclipses will be occurring. Find out were Aquarius and Leo in your chart and which houses they are in. This will help
determine what area of the of your life will be affected by the eclipses.
When planets are in retrograde they have an affect on us, usually to reflect inward and not to start too much in our lives. In
other words to stop and go within and see / find out who you are and what is going on in your life. The moons also have an
affect on us in different ways also. But the eclipses have ten times more of an impact then them both.
Usually but not the rule of thumb, if your birthday is near an eclipse there can be some big changes in store for you for the whole
year following your birthday. (Wow - mine is a couple days after the Solar eclipse on the 6th and solar brings in new beginnings -
this even sounds better!! On the down side - over a year ago on Septembers eclipse my grandfather passed - which does happen
near eclipses)
This Solar eclipse in Aquarius will also be conjunct with Mercury in retrograde. Solar eclipses are for new beginnings, and Mercury
retrograde brings up the past. It will be an excellent time to connect with an old friend, or maybe start doing something you used
to do, like exercise. It is also an excellent time to launch a new business or a new project.
Mercury will join this solar eclipse increasing the need to feel more in tune with your emotions and to increase communication
with others. Mars is also very supportive of this eclipse which increases your activity and charm. Venus, Jupiter and Uranus will
provide great support to this new moon eclipse increasing your need to want to be social and friendly. For Aquarian and
Sagittarian this is easy to do but if you are a Virgo or Cancer then you will need all the support you can get from these planets
because it will help you to reach out to others. You will be in a friendly mood and want to go out and be seen. You don't have to
party but you will find yourself easily making friends. This new moon Solar eclipse will especially affect Leo's since the Sun is their
ruling planet. This eclipse will effect you for the next 5 months but you may have noticed events from this eclipse occurring since
the last new moon on January 8th or may notice these events around March 7th when the next new moon occurs.
The lunar eclipse on the 20th will also be affect with Pluto and the Sun and Moon opposition that evening. This all means even
more of a powerful transformations. The moon will be in Virgo - earth sign and the Sun will be in Pisces - water sign. But with
Pluto assisting we will get enlightenment. Use this time to make some positive health changes in your life. Anyone that is
receiving any type of therapy may make wonderful leaps forward (as long as they are ready to move forward and let everything
go; this includes physical, emotional and spiritual therapy) It will also be a time to do some cleaner up in relationships. Letting go
of those that are not serving a purpose or are not solid; including person, romantic and friendship. You may even decide to leave
your job for a better one. Unfortunately, at times a eclipse will push those that are holding on to bad or self defeating jobs,
situations and relationships. Some even loss jobs during this time. But all that do were at ones that were not good for them and
all in concern. Not necessarily that it was not good for you but for those that you worked for. Usually this happens when we
hold on to things that we know are bad or not positive but holding on to them as a security blanket thinking something better is
coming along.
Depending where in the zodiac the zodiac the eclipse occurs, stress is always placed on the matters that are governed by that
sign. A powerful Solar eclipse can even create massive havoc on the world due to other aspects that are going on in
astrologically. This can be earthquakes and other disasters.
The lunar eclipse usually has such bad omens placed on it since it’s the endings. Also for it can awaken irrational responses.
Those that are affect more by the lunar eclipse are women and family. During the solar it seems more men and politics can be
signified. But either can be affected by any eclipse.
The moons energy is internal, nurturing, maternal and can be deeply emotional. During a lunar eclipse it creates the moon to be
covered for about an hour by the earths shadow. The full moons energy is powerful, but it is suspended and absent briefly
during the eclipse. The eclipse influences you with a sense of lack, absence or withholding. How that lack or absence is
expressed depends totally on the house, sign, and planetary aspect delineated in your astrological birth chart. Lunar eclipses
typically address relationship and connection issues with others described by the Moon's position in your chart. Depending upon
your chart, these issue may take the form of severing, challenges, sudden mergers, bonding; it is a time to look within, confront
our demons, old habits, fears. Because the Sun and Moon are in opposing astrological signs, the Sun's position may be expressed
in a release from what holds you back, opportunities for understanding, finding a balance in your life.
